Can social bonding and connecting with the people around you increase your happiness?
Project Description:
The purpose of this project was to learn about what makes people happy and what true happiness is and what it may look like. Personally throughout this project I was trying to find my own true happiness and what that looks like for me. I went through many different processes to understand how I know what true happiness is. I learned that the truth of happiness can come into your life in many forms and if you are able to socially connect with others and surround yourself with what you love and the people you love you will find your true happiness. It is up to you to decide what makes you truly happy but you must be able to connect with others first.

Project Reflection
To be truly happy you need to be socially connected. I discovered many peoples true happiness and why that is, it was a goal of mine to figure out my truth of happiness and it took a good amount of time. I found that my true happiness is to do what I love in the environment that I love with the people I love, but also find new adventures, be outdoors and meet new people. After a long process of trying to figure this out I found that it was that simple. In the article "The single most important thing we can do for our happiness" it explains, "Humans are, simply put, social creatures who require connections with other humans in order to thrive." I think that statement is very true. Interacting with both strong as well as weak ties can increase your happiness level. Personally this is all part of my true happiness.
During this project the greatest challenge that I faced was getting high quality videos to reach success with the end product of our video. We used two different devises to capture footage, it made it so that some parts of the video were blurry and some were not. In the video where Doug Miller speaks, we used an iPhone to take the video of him and it turned out blurry after putting it onto iMovie. As a whole group we were frustrated and did not like the quality of our video. We worked through it by adding all the information we needed and the music and we just kept adding to our video as if there was nothing wrong. I think we did a good job and I was happy with how our video turned out. 3 er4o9[]
I think that I have grown as a group member in many ways from this project. I was very happy with my group member and we all worked well together, almost everything went smoothly. As a group worker I felt that my group was able to rely on me with anything that needed to be done. I took initiative and worked hard to come to the end product. When we were going through the process of making our video I learned how to work iMovie a little better, I also discovered where clips of the videos should be placed by trying different places. I now have grown from these and can use them in new projects and different groups.
If I could refine any part of this project, I would change the way that I chose to take videos. Instead of filming on two different devises I would only use one and it would not be an iPhone. I also think it would be good to use a tripod when interviewing, my group and I went for it and filmed using our hands. I learned from these mistake and I know for future videos that I create I will be more professional and use the appropriate equipment that I can have access to through Roxy.
