Project Description
This Project was a process including many different steps. Each student was asked to come up with their own individual question about driving. Each step after discovering a question included; create a mathematical framework, do the math, reflect on your results, and then do it all again if needed. I had an original question and then I found that it was not deep enough so I changed to question to make it more interesting for the viewers.
My Process: Step one - Ask a good Question: Which lake is cheaper to visit starting from Edgemont Highlands? Lake Nighthorse or Vallecito Lake? Step two - Create a mathematical framework: I discovered the distance to both and how many miles it takes, I then found the price per mile and I discovered which one took less money for gas. Step three - Do the Math: Once I figured out the distances and prices for gas I need to find the difference for each place in gas, and also add the entrance fee for Lake Nighthorse. Step four - Reflect on your results: Once I had found which lake was more expensive to visit I then reflected and explained how I knew that Lake Nighthorse was more expensive to visit. Throughout all of these steps I had to get specific to to find correct numbers and answers. |
